Encompass and Southern Crown Partners (SCP) Enter Exclusive Agreement to Bring Innovative SCP Solutions Built on the Encompass Platform to the Entire Encompass Customer Community (and Product Number One…Mileage Tracking!)

This is one of the most exciting blog posts/announcements I have had the pleasure of making in some time! I am thrilled to share the news that Encompass is partnering with one of our thought-leading customers, Southern Crown Partners, to bring a wide range of innovative solutions built on the Encompass platform by their team to our rapidly growing customer base.
Across the distribution and wholesaler community, Southern Crown Partners is well known for being at the forefront of technology innovation. This new partnership is exciting because much of this innovation is a result of extending the Encompass platform to support Southern Crown's growth and focus on operational excellence. It is a fantastic opportunity, and a testament to the Encompass platform, to have a customer extend our platform in such a seamless and compelling way - it’s what you dream of as a software provider.
This partnership was initiated by the direct feedback of our newly formed Distributor Customer Council. Many of the members of the DCC have been aware of the technologies built by SCP for several years. During our most recent session, they encouraged me and Encompass to investigate a way to unlock these technologies for the benefit of the broader Encompass customer base. Once Justin Ashby and I started talking about the potential for a meaningful partnership, it was clear that this would be a win-win-win for Encompass, Southern Crown, and the entire Encompass customer base.
We are huge believers in the Encompass platform and its ability to extend to meet more and more needs of today's distributors. As an open, extensible platform, it was easy for us to develop on top of the platform in various areas that bring real business benefits to Southern Crown Partners. But at the end of the day, we are a modern beverage distributor and not a software company. This partnership is extremely exciting to us as the innovations we have built for our own use now have the potential to be leveraged by the hundreds of wholesalers using Encompass every day

In the coming months, we at Encompass will start to announce and release these solutions to the market. In most cases, they will represent new modules that seamlessly extend our customers’ existing Encompass footprints. The Southern Crown team built these products like we would have, leveraging our data model, reporting engine, core workflows, and user experience guidelines - super exciting stuff. As these products come to market we will announce pricing and availability, and leverage our Inner Circle program to define the product roadmaps going forward. It’s worth noting that this partnership is not a one-time event, as SCP creates new innovations in the future we will work together to bring those capabilities to market as well.
Product Number One: Mileage Tracking!
We are kicking off this partnership with a bang in an exciting product segment that is a natural extension of the Encompass platform - Mileage Tracking! For the past three years, Southern Crown has had this solution in production, supporting over 300 members of their sales and marketing teams. With a robust feature set and full FAVR support, the solution is proven at scale, delivering financial benefits to SCP and its employees, while fully integrated into the Encompass platform. We are mobilizing our product and services teams as we speak to bring this exciting product to our customer base.
Ironically, Mileage Tracking has recently become a hot topic, with commentary from the NBWA on the benefits of reimbursement programs as wholesalers move away from company-provided vehicles. Obviously, the recent acquisition of Everlance by Motus represents another significant event in the mileage tracking space. Needless to say, it is an exciting moment in time for us to bring the first solution of the SCP-Encompass partnership to market, and we intend to make this a very compelling offering to all of our customers. The opportunity to provide this important solution leveraging the technology and commercial dynamics of the Encompass platform is truly unique.
